This web-based workshop series is the perfect way to learn the ADAPT-Builder solution, or freshen up your skills for your next project

This workshop series is specifically tailored for those interested in hands-on, in-depth training in 3D-FEM concrete software, modeling procedures and techniques for the design and analysis of post-tensioned buildings. Comprehensive workflows and step-by-step training will be conducted for modeling of a multi-story building, gravity loading and floor design, lateral loading and design, soil-supported foundations, and column and wall design. 

Each module will offer intensive, start-to-finish instruction of each workflow utilizing the latest ADAPT-Builder software (including ADAPT-Floor Pro, Edge and MAT) in an interactive learning environment. Specific attention will be given to the use and integration of ADAPT's multistory analysis tool, ADAPT-Edge, with regards to load takedown, column and wall design, and integration of results in floors and foundations. Each participant will take home greater in-depth knowledge and understanding of how to practically and efficiently implement the use of these software tools in the design process and develop practical workflows for project or component completion.

Module 1: Modeling, Intro to Multi-Level Building Model Setup

This session will cover introduction to the User Interface, program components, modeling workflows and integration with Revit and CAD. Generate loads, load combinations, design and modeling criteria. Intro to Load takedown feature.

Module 2: Two-way PT & RC Slab Gravity Design 

May 15, 2018 9a-1p PST, $200

This session will cover the generation of design criteria and design strips, workflow for two-way slab design, including a transfer or podium slab. Execute design strips, review results and rebar requirements. Optimize PT and RC design. Export to CAD.

Module 3: Lateral Loads and RC Mat Foundation Design 

May 23, 2018 9a-1p PST, $200
This session will cover an introduction to adding wind and seismic loads, modifying load combinations to include lateral loads. Define usage cases and stiffness modifiers. Validate results of lateral loads, drift results. Include multi-story lateral loads into single-level floor adn foundation designs.

Module 4: Tributary Loads, Integrated Column and Wall design **New Date

June 14, 2018 9a-1p PST, $200
This session will cover the definition of design groups for column design, design options, live load reduction, design group and individual column design and code check results. Updating column sections to optimize design. Design reports and schedules. Definition of wall piers and design sections, wall design parameters, load case and stiffness contributions. Difference between using ADAPT-Wall and S-CONCRETE.
